How do I use Precious Prills?
Rinse the dust off and put the bag of Prills in a glass jug (apple juice jug, pickle jar, sun tea jar) or cermanic container and fill with water. Filtered is better, but tap water is OK. Wait 24 hours for the energy to build up. Pour off up to three quarters of the volume into your drinking bottle or your carafe, and refill your Prill jug again. It will be ready in 10 minutes, but longer charging time, up to 20 days, is even better.
Use Prill water to drink, to water plants, to wash vegetables, windows, pets etc.
Magic Water will regenerate itself many times. Pour off half into another bottle, and refill with good water. Distilled is best, Reverse Osmosis filtered is OK.
Use the other half to start another batch, or use to spray on your face, neck, hair, eyes. Use it to blend Twilight DOL. Use it to dissolve salts, vitamins, etc. to increase their effectiveness. Don't use it on prescription or over the counter drugs, they may become many times more potent.

Most often this is a growth of algae - prills support life, and algae is the first on the genetic ladder. It is a sign of health.

Yes, you can leave the Prills in their nylon bag. I washed mine by taking them out of the jar I keep them in, and putting them in a glass where I could easily massage it so that the grains were thoroughly cleaned. Or try washing them under running water.

The Prills come from the same source, but have different packaging. The Twilight type are a bit coarser. They work the same way. You get a greater amount in the Transderma packaging - just because Jim Carter (Twilight) had them packed that way.

There is no functional difference between glazed and enameled ceramics as far as Prills are concerned.
It does not supplement magnesium. For that we recommend the other TransDerma products such as Magnesium Oil or Gel. Water, or a sea weed based gel is the medium in which they are delivered.
In our experience, the Prills work best in glass or glazed ceramic. If the water treated by the Prills in your bottle does not taste noticeably better, then it is not working too well.
You may want to try a couple of experiments - in glass and in steel - and compare.
It can be reversed with vinegar. The effect of the Prills happens at the interface with the water - meaning that the surface of the Prills is doing the job they do. So you need to break it up somehow. We used to use HCl (muriatic acid) to renew the Prills. Vinegar will work for your purpose.

The Prills raise the pH of water, make its ORP more electro-negative (better oxidation and reduction), and lower its surface tension, giving it better ability to dissolve things. The writer of the article you point out does not stop with just the Prills, he rips into other products with articles including: Bottled Water Dangers, Reverse Osmosis Dangers, Distilled Water Dangers, Water Ionizer Scam.
The only thing that escapes his crafty pen is his product, ozone treated reverse osmosis filtered water. If you want to take the time, you could find "evidence" that both of these technologies are worthless, or downright dangerous.
What do we know for sure?

There is no specific value that I can give you - I could read out on my ORP meter the values before and after Prills, but it will be different than the values you will find at your location, with your water, and also for every one of your customers.
The less minerals (total dissolved solids) are in the water, the greater the shift in values delivered by the Prills. That means that lesser apparent change will be made to hard water, and greater change to distilled or reverse osmosis filtered.
If you have kept a lid on the jar, please remove it. You need to allow the chlorine gas to escape. Leaving a lid on the bottle traps the chlorine gas, and causes the water to have that unpleasant chlorine flavor.
To decide if you want to replace the Prills you would consider the water taste and appearance. If it is still tasting great, they are probably working just fine.
You could see their action by how much they are reducing water surface tension. You would put a drop of your regular water and a drop of the Prill treated water side by side on a plate or piece of glass and compare the size. The Prill water should spread flat, the regular water should bead up tighter - taller and smaller diameter.
Another way would be to check the pH - the Prills should make the water more alkaline ...
1. check the surface tension: side by side drop of regular water and treated water. Treated water should form a lower bead/drop. You should be able to look at it from the side directly, like on a piece of glass.
2. pH level: with a pH test strip or pH indicator solution or a pH meter check the pH of water before and after treatment
3. ORP level: with an ORP/pH meter check the voltage. Should be more negative after treatment.
4. clustering: freeze a couple of sheets of glass. drop one drop on the cold glass and let it freeze. The treated water should produce more symmetrical designs.
