Barley Grass is one of the green grasses and it is the only vegetation on the Earth that can supply sole nutritional support from birth to old age. Barley has served as a food staple in most cultures. The use of barley for food and medicinal purposes dates to antiquity. Agronomists place this ancient cereal grass as being cultivated as early as 7000 BC. Roman gladiators ate barley for strength and stamina. Volixer Raw Food Processing Technology

The young Barley Grass shown in the photo is a living entity that can not remain static. It must either be allowed to grow further into a mature barley plant or processed in such a way as to retain all the possible nutrients, without further deterioration (as might occur if the plant is dehydrated).

We accomplish this by processing the whole plant, with some distilled water using high energy, low temperature mechanical means, to break the living cell walls in the mix, and release the nutritional components from within the cells.

Since many of the cells of our young Barley Grass are stem cells, that is, cells that can reproduce themselves, these nutritional components can be used by our adult stem cell system, which is largely vegetative in nature.

These freshly released nutrients no longer have the protection of the cell wall. Normally this would mean fast decomposition. Instead, our technology protects them by wrapping them in layers of energized water, accompanied by natural anti-oxidants, thus offering a shelf-life in a cool dark environment of about one year.

Once open, the contents of the bottle must be protected from the air-borne yeast that is present everywhere. So, a small amount of natural sorbate, a fermentation inhibitor, is added to mix.
