Juniper, Juniperus communis

Botanical Name Juniperus communis
Essence A Traditional and Effective Diuretic
Function A sweet, fresh woody-balsamic scent that will calm and rejuvenate the psyche. A remedy for skin, urinary tract, blood, nerve disorders. It is a good antiseptic. As a diuretic it has been used to cleanse, detoxify the body and relieves urine retention.
Usage Bath - 5 drops to calm and rejuvenate. Helps with irregular or missing periods. Diffuse - a few drops as an effective disinfectant. Compress - Use for eczema. 2 drops rubbed on soles of feet for colds and flu.
Aromatherapy strengthening, refreshing, restoring.
Caution Avoid during pregnancy, or if suffering from kidney disease. Do not use directly on the skin.
