Basil, Ocimum basilicum

Botanical Name Ocimum basilicum
Essence A Tonic for Fragile Nerves
Function This familiar herbal oil alleviates depression, sharpens the senses, encourages concentration. Use to calm hysteria, nausea, vomiting. Alleviate headaches/migraine. Allergies, sinus congestion, asthma, flu, acne.
Usage Add a few drops in skin and hair care products. Dab on insect stings and bites. 10-15 drops in a 60 ml container of carrier oil massaged on the stomach will assist controlling vomiting and nausea.
Diffused in a room will clear the head and assist with concentration.
Aromatherapy clarifying, uplifting, energizing, strengthening, refreshing.
Caution Do not use during pregnancy. Use this oil sparingly it may irritate the skin and seem overpowering.
