Those of you that have been watching the progression of our superfood blends
since the mid-?80s understand that Iridesca didn?t just suddenly appear. It
is the product of continuous refinement and our ongoing dedication to provide
the very finest superfood blend that nature and technology can create. That
quest did not end with the introduction of Iridesca 2 years ago. It has
continued. Today, the result is the most Incredible superfood blend ever - surpassing
even the original Iridesca - and even our own best hopes and
expectations. Here are some highlights...
It is these enzymes which hold the power to normalize renegade or aging cells
by transmuting them back into their intended perfect form and function,
appropriate to their exact location in the body.
Whereas the good bacteria help release nutrients and create unique, valuable
nutrient forms, the bad bacteria and parasites eat your food and turn it into
poison right in your own system.
The conveyer system hauling toxins out of the body has slowed to a crawl.
Liquid from waste material in the lower intestine is absorbed and reabsorbed
again and again, and sent back to the cells...

PERFECTING IRIDESCA
by Jevari Oberon
Color, Taste And Smell
Palatability is perhaps the most important aspect of the new Iridesca.
If these fabulous nutrients are going to get the chance to do their work, you
have to get them into the body every day. It?s got to look good and taste good.
New Iridesca passes with flying colors. While the original Iridesca could
honestly be described as good (especially by comparison to green superfood
drinks) the new Iridesca can easily be described as exciting by any comparison!
In one of the first taste tests, we blended it with a cranberry-raspberry
juice in which the new Iridesca?s taste became virtually transparent with that
of the juice. It simply thickened and took on the consistency of a fresh fruit
smoothie!
It seems to be a majority opinion of those who have sampled the new Iridesca
that it actually improves the taste of most juices, making them more exotic and
more interesting - even white grapefruit juice!
Perhaps the first thing you will notice is an entirely pleasant, fresh,
fruity perfume upon opening the bottle. This lovely scent of fresh fruit and
tropical flowers carries forward into the blended juice.
Smoothness
There are two types of Iridesca enthusiasts - those who stir it with their
straw as they sip (this is the proper method, by the way) - and those who
swirl the glass so all of the good stuff doesn't end up settled out at the
bottom of the glass. Both camps will discover the new Iridesca to be vastly
smoother than the original and with less settling out at the bottom. This 'mouth-feel'
as it is called, is also an important aspect of palatability - all-important for
prospective new customers who may be less accustomed to a chewier 'natural' feel.
Smoothness of the new Iridesca was achieved by refining our blending
techniques to result in a finer grind at nice low temperatures. We think you
will agree that the extra effort is well worth it.
New Redder Color
Iridesca powder used to be a light-gray-green color. It is now more of a
red-red color. This creates more of a red color in any juice. This moves it from
a sort of guava-like color in apple juice to more of a purple grape juice color
in apple juice.
Color is a more significant palatability factor than one might first guess.
Even the most casual survey will quickly indicate that most people prefer a red
drink over a green one. If someone is holding their nose at the expectation of a
green drink, you may not even get them to sample it. If it is red, they are much
more positive about giving it a try.
The stronger red color comes primarily from an increase in the elderberry
juice powder.
Calories
Calories per serving are down by 14, to only 88 calories for a 6
teaspoon full serving - and only 44 for a 3 teaspoon half-serving (44
calories are fewer calories than a half cup of grapefruit juice).
Remember, 88 calories are less than 1/20 of your daily allotment of 2,000
calories -Awesome considering these 88 calories provide 100% or more of 15
essential vitamins and minerals, plus hundreds of phytonutrients, enzymes and
trace elements - and all in a fully-assimilable, 100% plant-life created form.
Superfood indeed!
Are Any Ingredients Changed?
Yes. Klamath blue green algae is gone, and lecithin is adjusted by one-third
to make way for new ingredients and increases in existing ingredients. And, a
portion of the green papaya enzyme makes way allowing us to include noni enzyme
activity.
Though we have an excellent quality source for our Klamath algae, other
Klamath products on the market weren?t always of this same quality. This
sometimes made it a controversial ingredient which took more explaining frankly
than was practical. While this ingredient was a big plus for certain people, for
many others, they would take one look at Klamath on the label and reject the
entire product.
It was on that basis we decided it was best to accommodate their concerns.
This allowed space within the formula to increase the elderberry extract to
boost immune power and enhance the brain chemistry of learning.
In the context of Iridesca's Spirulina, chlorella, dunaliella, kelp and
dulse, Iridesca continues to be a powerhouse in the algal phytonutrient category
- providing the monthly algal equivalent of over 250 capsules at 250mg each!
As for lecithin, we aim at 3 grams per day, for dissolving cholesterol, and
to assist delivery of coenzyme Q10 and the other enzymes, plus carotene, and the
fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.
What Ingredients Are New?
Lycium
Lycium fruit, or wolfberry as it is also called, is a source of unique
polysaccharide phytonutrients.
Lycium is chosen for its ability to boost the immune system, and especially
for its power to support your body?s own production of superoxide dismutase
(SOD) or ?youth enzyme.? SOD is a key antioxidant enzyme which protects your
brain cells from the ravages of internally-generated toxins and also from those
introduced from the outside environment.
Lycium is also a naturally rich source of vitamins and trace elements. In
Chinese herbal legend, lycium is valued for its ability to support the liver,
kidneys, eyes and lungs.
Purple Cabbage Juice Extract
Those who are familiar with the benefits of enzymatic pigments such as
carotene, chlorophyll or anthocyanidins (as in bilberry) will need little
convincing about the merits of another precious source.
Cabbage itself is among the most highly valued health foods. Instinctually, I
personally rate it at the very top. Cabbage contains unique phytonutrients
especially valuable for the stomach and digestive tract.
Noni
Noni's applications to healing, health and performance go all the way back
to the ancient Polynesians. They prized the life-energizing qualities of noni so
highly they transported the live plants island by island, by canoe, thousands of
miles across the Pacific Ocean from its native land of Southeast Asia.
Hawaiian and Tahitian cultures value the noni for toning the circulatory and
digestive systems, relieving menstrual cramps, arthritis, sprains and injuries.
Noni is highly regarded for its ability to improve one?s attitude to a
happier, more positive outlook.
Noni provides the alkaloid phytonutrient xeronine, and a xeronine precursor
called proxeronine-release-enzyme.
I am most interested in these phytonutrients and their properties as they may
relate to stabilizing fragile enzymatic proteins, which are the carriers of the
precious life-force itself.
It is these enzymes which hold the power to normalize renegade or aging cells
by transforming them back to their intended perfect form and function, appropriate
to their exact location in the body. It is the failure of the body to produce
these enzymes at a rate faster than they usually break down, which is at the
core of vulnerability to many diseases and biological aging process.
An improvement in this area of preserving enzyme-life-energy could help
create a big step up in health and vitality -especially over a period of weeks
or months, as more and more of the work of the heartier enzymes is put into
place where it can be seen and felt.
Noni?s characteristic of supporting removal of old worn-out cells, and
replacing them with new ones, is similar in result to green papaya enzyme, aloe
vera and pineapple bromelain. This is especially noticeable in event of burns or
scarring, including older scars.
Tribulus
Bulgarian puncture vine as it is also called, was valued by the ancient Greeks
as a non-stimulant general tonic to perk you up and help you keep feeling great.
It is also a highly valued component of Chinese and Ayurvedic rejuvenation formulas.
When the same plant is so highly valued by diverse cultures, separated by centuries
and thousands of miles, it deserves special attention. Its primary actions seem
to center around the organs and systems of the abdomen, especially the liver,
kidneys, urinary tract and sexual systems.
Tribulus is noted to enhance libido for women and for men. Modern analysis
has identified a variety of interesting phytonutrients in tribulus, including
furostanol-type saponins. We use the finest Bulgarian government specification
extract available.
Soynatto
In the U.S., soy is most often consumed in the form of the food ingredients
soy protein isolate and soy flour, and as tofu or whole beans in a cooked form
of one kind or another. In the Orient, soybeans are often cultured in a way
similar to how we make yogurt, and somewhat differently from how we make tofu.
This unique live-culturing-method yields powerful benefits which are only faint
shadows in Americanized, machine-processed soy foods.
Levels of the phytonutrient isoflavones and sulfurophanes are remarkably higher
in the Oriental-type cultured soy. This could account for the greater benefits
observed in soy-rich Asian diets over American soy diets. Results of the recommended
increases in dietary soy to reduce breast cancer risk may fall short of expectations
unless the specific, high-isoflavone / high sulfurophane soy forms are specified.
Soynatto is an isoflavone optimized and sulfurophane optimized form of
traditionally cultured soy, carefully handled, using specially developed
techniques to preserve the vital qualities.
Chicory Inulin
Chicory inulin has been added as an alternative quality source of inulin to
augment increasingly scarce dahlia inulin supplies. Inulin (pronounced
similar to insulin - and chemically similar) is a phytonutrient helping-hand for
the body's own insulin needs - allowing your pancreas to 'catch its breath.'
These days the body's over-flooded sugar moderating systems are under
increasing pressure. In spite of unrelenting abuse, a tiny bit of pancreatic
tissue called the isle of langerhans keeps most of us safe from diabetic
trauma. This vital group of cells, about the size of a finger, is all that
stands between your health and the combined assaults of massive quantities of
highly reactive refined sugars, and a shortage of soil chromium. There is a
resultant shortfall in dietary chromium.
Chromium is essential for the pancreas to create enough insulin molecules to
keep up with counter-balancing the effects of the flood of sugar. Each serving
of Iridesca supplies 620mg of GTF chromium. GTF is the life- created,
bioactive, ready to use form. Do not confuse genuinely natural GTF chromium
with the less desirable manufactured chromium picolinate form. Nutritional
support of the blood-sugar-balancing system is essential for energy and endurance,
as well as appetite moderation and the burning of excess fats.
SBOs - 15 Terrific New Friends
While many people are now familiar with the healthy attributes of acidophilus
yogurt, the concept of beneficial Soil-Based Organisms is only just now
becoming known outside of ground-breaking clinical settings -but
their reality as a positive element of human biology has been around since the
first human ate root foods.
...And that is the point.
These valuable organisms were a regular part of the human diet up
until the past few decades. Since the 1940s they have been virtually
exterminated from our farm soils and our foods.
Here is how it used to work:
Living organisms in the soil, helped dissolve coarse minerals in the soil,
into a micronized form that plant roots could absorb. The soil was full of
reduced minerals and living organisms which produced plants rich in vitamins,
minerals and phytonutrients.
You could pull a vitamin and mineral-rich carrot, bursting with
phytonutrients, right from your own live-soil, organic garden. You?d swish the
carrot around in a bucket of water to remove the dirt. You'd shake off the
water and chomp to your heart's content.
You probably didn't realize it, but in addition to the carrot, you were
getting something very precious indeed - you were getting dozens of types of
beneficial microorganisms directly from the soil! These are like those that make
natural sauerkraut.
The most important function of these beneficial strains is their ability to
crowd-out undesirable bacteria, yeast, fungus and parasites from your own ?root
system? - your intestine. We have selected 15 of the most useful
strains of SBOs. Whereas the good bacteria help release nutrients and create
unique, valuable nutrient forms and immune factors, the bad bacteria and
parasites eat your food and turn it into poison right within your own system. (Salmonella
and E. Coli are just two such examples that are on the increase with thousands
of new cases each year).
Bad bacteria, yeast and parasites show up for work every day. They ride in on
meat, fish, produce, water, eating utensils, finger tips and pencil erasers -
and even with the air you breath. Using toxic pharmaceutical antibiotics or
harsh herbal counter measures to rid yourself of them once, will not
permanently keep them away.
Without daily support of the 'good guys', the 'bad guys' will quickly
repopulate to a combined total weight of 2 pounds and resume their attack on
your energy and health. With today's depleted foods and super germ
environment, daily probiotic reinforcement isn't merely an option, it is the
imperative.
Some of the less obvious bad bacteria gradually form a tough coating inside
the intestinal wall. It creates a perfect nesting environment for harmful
bacteria, yeast and parasites. This dense, thick, matting further disrupts
assimilation of nutrients and the elimination of toxins.
It is now widely recognized that each type of beneficial microorganism has
its own unique purpose and benefit in disrupting and dislodging the coating. A
variety of beneficial organism types work as a team to crowd out the unwanted
invaders and their nesting materials.
Meanwhile back at the farm... Industrial farming methods involve specific
chemicals and methods which have destroyed the bacteria in the soil. Minerals
stay locked-up in the courser form as plants are starving for lack of the
minerals necessary to create vitamins and phytonutrients.
Topsoil has been reduced to easily eroded, dead dirt. Plant accessible
micro-mineral soil is typically 90% or more depleted across the USA.
Plants grown without the benefits of soil bacteria and micronized minerals
are weak and vulnerable to disease, weeds and pests. This makes toxic chemicals
an essential part of industrial-style farming. Industrial agricultural chemicals
prevent the soil-building bacteria from making a comeback, and the soil remains
dead, perpetuating the nutritionally inferior artificial growing situation.
Upon harvesting, raw vegetables are washed under high pressure and with
antibacterial chemicals to prevent spoilage and extend shelf life. The
beneficial bacteria are destroyed along with all of the others. Other vegetables
have the entire outer layers stripped away or are cooked under high temperature
conditions which certainly destroys the friendly bacteria.
With our food thus stripped of beneficial microorganisms, transit time of
digested food through the intestine has slowed from hours into days or even weeks.
The conveyer system hauling toxins out of the body has slowed to a crawl.
Instead of two, brief, morning movements, and one later in the day, eliminating
the previous days intake as nature intended, once every three days is now
considered 'normal'. This is only 1/9 the optimum frequency. The question is
whether 'normal' equates to healthy. This is the primary avenue of
elimination of such sinister toxins as aluminum, mercury, lead, cadmium and
radioactive Iodine and strontium 90.
Instead of leaving the body quickly and regularly, liquid from waste material
in the lower intestine is absorbed and reabsorbed, again and again, to be
redistributed back throughout the cells of the body.
The body is forced to re-consume this toxic liquid over and over, day after
day 8 or 9 times instead of none. The resulting waste is hard, dry bulky and
difficult to eliminate. This places an excessive load upon the kidneys. Then
toxins back up all the way to the liver, causing it to work over-time, and so
on.
One of the prime benefits of beneficial microorganisms is optimized transit
time and well balanced water content of the waste material. This eliminates the
need for chemical laxatives or artificial irrigation to cleanse the colon.
Often, the lowered toxin load results in a nearly immediate reduction in
general stress that may be precipitating every manner of ailment and disease -
plus, with lowered toxins there is very often a notable increase in energy, and
a resultant prosperity in overall health. This gives the body itself an
opportunity to strengthen, heal, and overcome even long-standing conditions -
and without the need to punish the body further with additional, toxic,
side-effect-laden pharmaceutical chemicals. The level of these 15 new types of
SBOs and 17 types of beneficial, probiotic micro flora in Iridesca are at a
strong maintenance level, roughly that of an excellent diet containing generous
portions of live-culture yogurt and raw, organically grown root vegetables.
Champignon
In my early career in the food industry I had occasion to work with ammonia-based
industrial refrigeration equipment. In one place I worked, this equipment dated
back to before the 1950s. When it broke, large amounts of ammonia escaped inside
the building, and the plant would have to be evacuated. I was the lucky fellow
who knew how to fix it and who got to go back inside. As it turns out, body-produced
ammonia is a major factor in bad breath, body odor and gas...
To make the story short, a couple of bad experiences taught me more about the
hazards of ammonia than I care to know about its effects on the body and the
brain. Talk about pain! As a result, I became hyper-sensitive in detecting
even the tiniest trace of ammonia. After these experiences, one thing I noticed
whenever someone would get sick, was a distinct smell of ammonia on their breath.
So I always wondered about the effect of increased ammonia at the time of illness.
Was it a cause or an effect? One thing for sure, it wasn't good. As it turns
out, body-produced ammonia is a major factor in bad breath, urine odor, foot
odor, tobacco body odor, meat body odor, perspiration body odor, fecal odor
and gas. (Contrary to popular rumors have no plans to produce a line of sportswear
extolling the virtues of the new ingredient.) Ammonia's henchmen in this
offensive assault upon our health and sensibilities includes the equally harmful
chemicals methyl mercaptan, hydrogen sulfide and trimethylamine.
In the manufacturing industry each of these chemicals is regarded as a dangerous
health risk requiring extreme precautions in regard to handling and exposure.
Yet these cellular vandals play unchecked at various levels within the most
delicate systems of our bodies, especially when we are ailing or have grown old.
Japanese scientists studying the chemistry of body odors have found that the
vegetable gum of the champignon mushroom has the remarkable property of molecularly
reducing these disgusting biochemical compounds. They are disassembled down
to the simpler, less obnoxious forms from whence they came. In these simpler
forms, they are unable to damage brain cells and other fragile cells of the
body - and can also then be put to a useful purpose. This is good news for those
of us who enjoy healthy foods such as onions, garlic, fish, cabbage, wheat grass
and beans, which readily convert to the chemical henchmen of stench. Henceforth
we should now be able to enjoy their attributes with much less of their offenses
- good news indeed for our sweethearts.
At any rate, whatever your diet or aromatic condition, everyone should benefit
from reduced levels of ammonia and these other toxic gases in the blood and
cells of the body. Signs of exposure to these waste gases include general cellular
damage (aging) temporary and irreversible brain dysfunction and increased vulnerability
to disease. Though it occurs on a relatively small scale, it is better to prevent
this damage, rather than try to repair it later.
Maitake
This delicious gourmet mushroom is also an adaptogen with the ability to help
balance body systems. In addition, its unique polysaccharides are under intense
study for their immune boosting qualities. Maitake is regarded as having the
greatest number of health supporting properties of any of the oriental healing
mushrooms.
Coriolus
Coriolus is an edible mushroom, rich in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins,
glycoproteins, polysaccharides, enzymes and unique metabolites. Some of these
precious phytonutrients are classified as immuno-potentiators - able to help
awaken dormant parts of the immune system and to super-support natural immune
defense mechanisms. One coriolus polysaccharide-peptide known as PSK has gained
25% of the total cancer drug expenditure in value-conscious Japan. Coriolus
has also been observed to provide anti-microbial, anti-viral and antioxidant
benefits, and is rated as being entirely non-toxic.
Which 6 Ingredients Have Been Increased?
Elderberry
Elderberry extract was increased to a total of 500mg per serving. In Switzerland
and Germany elderberry is held in highest regard as a home remedy during cold
and flu season. A variety of concentrated elderberry cold elixirs are sold in
those countries. A couple of these have even found their way into U.S. health
food stores. You will find that Iridesca's elderberry presence and potency compares
very favorably to these expensive, traditional European elixirs.
When I was in my early 20s, I would drive up into the Blue Mountains of Northeastern
Oregon and pick huge bunches of elderberries. The bunches weighed up to 2 pounds
each and were comprised of hundreds of black-purple, BB-sized berries. Their
raw taste is strong and awful. I would fill the trunk of the car with berries,
drive home, and we would can the berries into a concentrated juice form using
Montana fireweed honey as a sweetener. We loved this delicious juice. It was
the primary juice my wife and I were drinking for two years before our daughter
Aja was born. And naturally, it was in the mother?s milk as well.
Baby Aja was clearly parroting, and spontaneously saying words by 3 months
of age. People accused us of being ventriloquists. We would have to leave the
baby in their arms and go outside of the house for them to be convinced that
a baby this tiny was actually talking so clearly. Aja was perfectly parroting
the chemical elements by 6 months, and was happily and perfectly reciting her
ABCs in their entirety without coaxing, by 7 1/2 months. By 8 months, she started
creating humorous tricks using math accurately in context, and speaking in full
sentences. She instantly picked up on reading and spelling at 13 months of age.
As I studied nutrition, I became convinced there must be a relationship between
elderberries and learning ability. Twenty years later - earlier this year -
my hunch was proven correct when scientists studying elderberry observed how
its phytonutrients support an increase in neurotransmitters and brain chemistry
associated with establishing new neuropathways. Such connections are necessary
for the process of learning and creativity. This chemistry is rich in young
children, but drops off quickly by adolescence and all but dries up in the later
years of life.
We live at a time when the world is changing all around us, and change is gaining
momentum. It is our ability to learn and adapt which will allow us to keep pace.
Experts predict that the average person graduating from college today will change
careers five times during their working years. In this context, a bit of a boost
in favor of the learning process could translate into big benefits. In fact,
the longevity benefits of this breakthrough could prove to be the most exciting
among the elderly where a big challenge is to keep the mind active and learning.
If this process is allowed to go cold, then interest in life can decline -along
with the very will to live.
On the other hand, if the neurotransmitters of learning are optimized, you
may have difficulty keeping the nursing home TV chairs filled. - These people
are going to get up and go everywhere younger people want to go. A cheerful,
positive attitude is the most important health and longevity factor. Boredom
combined with inactivity is a count-down. My new hunch bets on a synergistic
relationship between elderberry and monatomic iridium. This has implications
far deeper than mere learning ability. It may affect the very phenomenon of
consciousness and being which projects the living holographic matrix upon which
the cells themselves are framed and differentiated. Even the tiniest enhancement
at this foundational level of our being can generate phenomenal improvements
over time. Regardless of whether my latest hunch proves correct, elderberry
is clearly a food for learning, and for the immune system.
Hawthorn Berries & Cayenne Red Pepper
We are addressing the values of these two ingredients in this same section
because of their close synergistic ties in the formula. Many of you have requested
that we make the formula more powerful in terms of instant energy - yet without
any harmful caffeine-like stimulants. We have always had a synergy of ingredients
and nutrients which help the body assimilate and utilize the other ingredients
of the formula. Those are good. Those are wonderful. But by comparison, those
are the pea-shooters and these are the 16 inch guns of the battleship Missouri!
In fact, at the new levels, this new combo is so synergistically powerful, it
is not for the nutritionally faint of heart! Even those long-time Iridesca enthusiasts,
who switch directly over to the new Iridesca without gradually ramping-up from
one spoonful per glass to three, will literally feel their capillaries stretching
from head to toe, starting to deliver the bounty of phytonutrients and enzymes
within seconds. If they aren't prepared for this nutrient rush, it can be
a bit of a surprise.
However, if someone from the world of candy bars, soda pop and trench fries
first tries a full three teaspoons of Iridesca, these wonderful, life filled
sensations could be mistaken for those of a piece of fresh-picked fruit - and
could therefore be downright frightening. Their body has no intention of getting
so healthy so quickly, and they will quickly scurry back to the comforts of
a candy bar, a microwave dinner, and a bag of snack chips, with all the urgency
of a panicked Titanic passenger elbowing their way toward the last lifeboat
seat. -And you will have forever upset any chance of their gradually becoming
a superfood consumer. As in all new things, baby steps at first are best.
In the legendary book Back to Eden, by master herbalist, Jethro Kloss,
the average herb earns a paragraph or two regarding uses and benefits. By
contrast, cayenne red pepper has a full 15 pages dedicated to it. By Kloss?s
enthusiastic description, it is a top herb of choice for nearly any condition or
objective.
The effect of the hawthorn berries is to leverage the effect of cayenne without
the need of excessive heat. Vitexin is the primary phytonutrient of interest
in hawthorn berries - a centuries-old heart and circulatory tonic. European
studies have confirmed that hawthorn is a rich source of bioflavonoids, pycnogenols
and other phyto nutrients which benefit the heart and circulatory system on
an immediate basis. This makes the cayenne/cayenne combo an enormous hit with
athletes looking for an instant increase of power and endurance. Hawthorn also
has collagen-stabilizing antioxidant qualities. Collagen is a protein vital
for healthy joints. Collagen is also the under girding structure, which holds
all of the cells and organs into place, and gives skin its youthful firmness.
Hawthorn?s collagen benefits come gradually but steadily, and become more obvious
over the weeks, months and even years.
Saw Palmetto & Green Wild Oat Seed (Avena Sativa)
Native American Indians used saw palmetto as an over-all, strengthening body
tonic. Later, as prostate problems have been dramatically on the increase, the
focus on saw palmetto shifted from that of a general tonic to its special talent
of promoting a healthy prostate. The prostate is a walnut-sized, donut shaped
organ surrounding the urinary tube leading from the male bladder. Inflammation
quickly leads to painful difficulty in urination.
Contrary to popular myth, it is the prostate - and not the testes - which provides
almost the total of semen volume; the testicular contribution being only a minuscule
share. The prostate lives to generate this volume of highly specialized fluid
of life and then to release it on a natural, comfortable and regular cycle
- not too frequently and not too infrequently. Over-work and inactivity each
make trouble in their own way. Prostate inflammation can also be aggravated
by a poor quality of diet or life-style, and by inadequate water intake leading
to a toxin-saturated environment, which irritates delicate prostate tissues.
Statistics now indicate that virtually all men will experience some painful
and debilitating prostate conditions after age 30 -growing from a small percentage
at age 30, to 80% or greater after age 50. These severely painful flare-ups
require the expense and inconvenience of immediate professional medical attention.
- Once they have hit, it is often too late for home remedies to help by themselves.
(Prostate cancer kills 40,000 Americans each year - that is more deaths than
by drunk driving.) A far better strategy, it seems, would be to nutritionally
support the prostate on an ongoing basis. - Lecithin, zinc and saw palmetto
combined with a healthy sex life and plenty of pure water.
Many older men claim to have avoided prostate problems altogether. They say
that eating raw pumpkin seeds on a daily basis is their secret for health.
Pumpkin seeds are a good natural source of zinc and lecithin-related fatty
acids. Crushed pumpkin seeds rancidify instantly and are therefore inappropriate
for Iridesca's powdered formula. However, the saw palmetto we use contains 34%
to 45% of prostate supporting free fatty acids.
Other ingredients in Iridesca provide 105% of the RDA for zinc. This is the
zinc equivalent of 1-2 cups of pumpkin seeds every day - or 45 cups per month!
Toxins seem to settle in the low parts of the body - especially the feet and
the lower abdomen. The prostate's low positioning in the lower abdomen doesn't
offer it any advantage. Purity of diet and water are important, as is volume
of water. And like any organ of the body, it needs a healthy level of exercise,
and that is where a healthy sex life is of value. One good thing about saw palmetto,
in addition to prostate-protecting and prostate-supporting phytonutrients, other
phytonutrients in saw palmetto inspire an enhanced libido for both women and
men.
Recently, this latest discovery by human sexuality scientists in California
has brought about the latest surge of interest in saw palmetto. Rather than
any direct aphrodisiac-type effect, the healthier interest in sex seems to stem
from an overall toning of several systems related to sex drive -and the benefits
were as pronounced for women as they were for men. The increase was noted
by individuals of differing beginning levels of sexual health, with everyone
in the study being more than pleased by their results. Notably in these studies,
the doctors combined saw palmetto extract with green wild oat seed extract (also
known as avena sativa). New Iridesca contains 260mg of green wild oat
seed per serving, more than twice as much as the original.
New Iridesca contains effective amounts of both of these plants and in the
same concentrated bioactive form as found effective in the studies. Iridesca
also contains many other sex-healthy nutrients such as lecithin, coenzyme Q10,
Nova Scotia dulse and plant-life-created zinc. Indirectly this benefits the
prostate on another level, that of remaining youthfully active -an important
part of the healthy prostate formula. Studies going back as far as mid-1800s
England, indicate a correlation between a youthfully active sex life and longevity.
In these studies, the life spans of celibate and single men often come up as
much as 10 years shorter on average than married men with healthy regular sexual
activity. So while a healthy sex life may help assure a healthy prostate, It
also seems that a healthy active prostate may lend longevity in return. While
these latest findings about saw palmetto, green wild oat seed and libido are
fascinating, it is important to remember that originally, saw palmetto was employed
as a general tonic benefiting all systems of the body - as well as the prostate.
This just goes to prove the old axiom that healthy is sexy.
St. John's Herb
Also known as St. John's Wort (Wort is Old English meaning plant),
this herb's rise to fame and fortune in the general market over the past year
can only be described as explosive! A 20,000% increase in sales! Its
popularity took off after it was announced that St. John?s was as effective
in weight loss diet success as a leading pharmaceutical drug, which was suddenly
discovered to be potentially far more hazardous than initially approved.
St. John's offered a history of centuries of safety and at a much lower cost
- so once the word got out, sales skyrocketed. Its primary purpose in the Iridesca
formula is to improve one's attitude. St. John's is also fascinating for its
quality of inhibiting enveloped viruses. Phytonutrients in St. John's inspire
ambition, considered thought, and a positive attitude. It is also noted to reduce
menstrual cramps. It is useful in wound healing and to help the body dissolve
and remove congealed blood from bruises and injuries. A wide variety of valuable
phytonutrients abound in this wonderful plant. They include hypericin, the bioflavonoid
quercetin, antioxidant catechins and many others.
We use a St. John's extract standardized to 0.3% hypericin. St. John?s
has been increased from 17mg to 73mg per serving in the new Iridesca.

Noni Comparison
by Jevari Oberon
Tahitian Noni Juice Liquid
Source: French Polynesia
Harvest: Wild crafted (harvested by hand from pristine, mid-Pacific tropical
jungle) - organic.
Nutrient Delivery: Fresh noni fruit is reduced to a puree, preserved in large
plastic barrels, and transported to mainland U.S. (Raw fruit purees are
instantly perishable. Typically they are cooked down to reduce water content and
shipping weight, and are then frozen into a juice concentrate.) From the
mainland port the barrels of preserved puree are trucked to the inland factory.
Once at the processing plant, the preserved noni puree is reconstituted with
water and blended with blueberry juice concentrate and other ingredients to
provide sweetness, color, and a palatable flavor.
The bottles of reconstituted juice are then steam cooked for a few minutes to
destroy bacterial and natural digestive enzyme activity, which would otherwise
continue to degrade the juice. This heat is well above the survival maximum of
hydrated enzymes - and is the same heat as for any other canned or bottled food.
The finished product cannot therefore offer any enzyme advantage over any other
canned (heat killed) food or juice.
Such heat of processing disrupts the fragile life-electric bonds of enzymes
and reduces their structure back into unremarkable chemical building blocks. To
restore these plain components back into their unique bioactive structure
requires nutrient resources (which may or may not be available), a vigorous
enzyme production system in your body, and a borrowing of enzyme-life-energy
from another food?s enzymes or from existing enzymes elsewhere in your body.
Yet even this noni product works!
Once opened, the hydrated juice again becomes vulnerable to bacterial
activity and requires continuous refrigeration or it will quickly spoil.
Label Claim: '100% Tahitian Noni' The implication here is that the
contents of the bottle are nothing more than noni juice. That is not accurate.
The fact is the bottled product contains a major percentage of water and other
ingredients. What is meant by this claim is that the noni portion of the juice
is 100% from Tahiti and not from China, India, Samoa or other sources.
Wild Green Maui Noni Berry Juice Powder
Harvest: Wild crafted (harvested by hand from pristine, mid-Pacific, tropical
jungle, coastal lava flows for highest potency) - organic.
Nutrient Delivery: Fresh fruit is juiced and carefully dehydrated by a gentle,
unique, patented method - just for noni - in such a way as to exactly save noni?s
valuable biological potential intact, like a dried dormant seed. Once stabilized
by this simple drying, no further additives or processing are required. Dry
Maui Noni Powder does not require refrigeration. This makes it ideal and convenient
for use at remote locations - such as the office, and for travel. You may blend
or shake noni powder into any one of your favorite juices for variety.
Dry Maui Noni Powder is also available as capsules, and as 100% pure noni
powder, or it may be blended with a synergistic delivery nutrient such as
lecithin - essential for thought and for every living cell. The soya lecithin we
use is of a remarkable quality and purity not closely approached by 99% of the
lecithin on the market.
Lecithin is noted for its ability to assist in assimilation of enzymes and
other large, complex biodynamic molecules such as noni's xeronine, scopoletin,
anthraquinonedamnacanthal, proxeronine, and xeronine-release enzyme. These
complex phytonutrients have molecular weights in excess of 16,000 - a hundred
times that of simple vitamins or minerals.
The more intact these complex phyto-enzymes are delivered, the less
transformation effort is required to present them to your vital systems in a
ready and active form. Ours is the only noni-lecithin product.
Assimilation of these large useful molecules from the intestine, and into the
blood and lymph, requires that they be incorporated into a delivery complex
called a liposome unit. Liposomes are composed primarily of lecithin. The more
lecithin you have, the more liposomes you can make and the better enzyme
assimilation you can enjoy - and the more noni benefits you will experience.

Legend: A traditional Polynesian folk tonic, from ancient generations, valued
as life itself. One of the treasured 'canoe plants' carried by early humans
from Island to Island as they expanded from Southeast Asia to settle the islands
of the Pacific all the way to Maui. Scientists are now focusing on noni's
resources to optimize your body's own production of xeronine - a master
component of healthy cells and systems.
Directions: As a dietary supplement, take 2 level spoonfuls or more daily
(measuring spoon enclosed). Stir, blend or shake into your favorite fruit or
vegetable juice. Best if taken one-half hour before meals - or 40 minutes after
a meal.
Storage: May be stored at room temperature before or after opening. Potency
is extended by refrigeration. Oxygen and moisture absorbing packets may be left
in the bottle or discarded after opening.
Ingredients - Each Daily Supply Provides: 2 rounded measuring-spoonfuls
(5,000mg) (fruit juice solids equivalency of 2 tablespoons of liquid noni).
- 100% Pure Wild Green Maui Noni Berry Juice Powder (organic - carefully
dehydrated by a gentle, unique, patented method - just for noni - in such a way
