Every ingredient in Iridesca has a specific mission and purpose. Iridesca has no meaningless fillers. Every microgram of each component is working at maximum for you. The Catuaba is a vigorous, medium-sized, yellow to orange, flowering tree, producing small, inedible fruits. A favorite tea is made from the bark. Like Tomato is to the Nightshade family, Catuaba is to the Erythroxylaceae clan, but unlike some of the other "less civilized" plants to which it is kin, it contains no cocaine activity. It does, however, contain a wonderfully innocent, yet highly fascinating, phytochemistry of a unique bitter substance with Aromatic Oils, plus Phytosterols, Cyclolignans, and a Brazilian-named phytonutrient named Ioimbina.

This is the one herb that has actually inspired the indigenous Amazonians to compose many songs about its wonders. Thus it has become the most popular Amazonia aphrodisia, and is used generously without any ill effects whatsoever.

This herb especially wakes up the male organs, but is also highly regarded as having a similar effect for women. Clavo Huasca

(Tynanthus panurensis - 47mg per serving)

Right out of the gate, without debate from anyone who has tried it, this woody vine is an aphrodisiac for both women and for men.

Its white flowers are pollinated by butterflies, and produce flat bean pods. The wood, rich in essential oils, has a strong aroma like cloves. The wood when cut across displays a golden Maltese cross surrounded by dark red outer wood. The pattern itself is believed by some to be indicative of, and source of, the male and female aphrodisia the plant produces.

However, it is the mashed vine bark, which is actually used to produce the valuable alcohol extraction of phytonutrients. The Brazilian scientists discovered a unique phytonutrient in Clavo Huasca that they named Tinantina.

Clavo Huasca is a cornerstone of the two most popular aphrodisia/potency formulas in South America. Clavo Huasca is also used as a digestive aid, for fevers - and for rheumatism and arthritis.

Damiana

Jatoba

(Hymenaea courbaril - 33mg per serving)

If you were standing in the rainforest, looking straight up, Jatoba is one of those huge canopy trees towering 90 feet overhead. Its small red flowers produce an edible, odd, brown fruit pod. Its sap is gathered for incense, and a tea, made from its bark, is a favorite health and energy tonic among Amazonian lumberjacks.

According to Brazilian doctors, whoever drinks Jatoba becomes "strong and vigorous, always ready to work - and staying productive."

While Jatoba is also used for prostatitis, mouth ulcers and for bladder and yeast infections, it is not officially regarded as a direct aphrodisiac. However, I suppose a case could be made that a lethargic couple suffering from prostatitis and a yeast infection should possibly address these issues before expecting to move on to the more direct Aphrodisias. Perhaps you could say that Jatoba is an ideal preaphrodisia for either achieving or maintaining readiness.

One of the ways Jatoba seems to address energy is through supporting the liver, which is the heart of enzyme production and enzyme reconfiguration in your body Another avenue of energy increase may be a result of Jatoba's effect of decreasing the yeast and fungus population which eats our food, and our cells, and then poisons us in return.

Like many of the bioflavonoid-rich Amazonia herbs, Jatoba helps with both asthma and arthritis. Abundant bioflavonoids also help keep bruising from injuries, accidents and surgeries to a minimum.

Muira Puama

This is a small tree with fragrant white flowers. The bark and roots are used to make a tea for countering sexual debility, easing joint and muscle pain, relieving digestive complaints, and for baldness.

It has been used by Amazonia's indigenous people as far back as they know, and in South American cities, and in France and England, since the 1920's. The British Herbal Pharmacopoeia still lists it for dysentery.

Somewhere along the way, Muira Puama was discovered to be effective against hook-worms - possibly an effect of its essential oils, or possibly an effect of its unique phytonutrients, or perhaps in combination. This makes it an excellent addition to Iridesca's anti-parasite brigade.

In recent studies by the French, Muira Puama was found to be 51% to 62% effective in cases of erectile dysfunction. Other French studies focused on its positive psychological benefits as related to sexual functioning in men who had lost interest in sex. It is a valued libido enhancer.

In Europe and South America, Muira Puama is used to alleviate frigidity, infertility, menstrual disturbances, menstrual cramps and PMS. Proper processing along with adequate heat and vegetable alcohol extraction is essential for this herb to achieve optimum bioactivity in the body.

Sarsaparilla vine

(Similax officinalis - 39mg per serving)

The root of this woody, 150 foot vine should not be confused with the Sarsaparilla Tree whose extract is used to flavor natural root beer.

Rather than a mere flavoring like the tree, the unrelated Sarsaparilla Vine is a rich source of a special category of phytonutrients called Saponins.

Saponins are also found in abundance (not by accident) in many other Iridesca ingredients. Saponins leverage the assimilation and utilization of other phytonutrients, thus enhancing their effective potency. The vine root extract is often employed in South American herbal blends as a booster for the entire formula. It makes a welcome addition to Iridesca's already vigorous Saponin crew.

Tayuya

Despite a staggeringly bitter taste, Tayuya has found wide use by indigenous South Americans, Africans and Indonesians all the way back into the deep fog of prehistory.

Q: What is your personal experience with Iridesca as a longevity food?

A: At the beginning of this school year, Xjantè (biological mother of seven and stepmother to my first five) went to register her 15-year-old daughter at the junior high school attended by 7th, 8th and 9th graders.

Amongst the stack of registration papers was a bright yellow form. As Xjantè, and Danielle were standing with two of Danielle's student friends, Xjantè was filling out this form.

A school faculty member approached Xjantè, and putting her hand on Xjantè's shoulder, politely but firmly informed Xjantè that the yellow form was to be filled in and signed only by a parent. The faculty member was shocked when Xjantè said, "I am the parent."

It has been 21 years since Xjantè registered as a student for that same grade! (Xjantè is 36. She was 21 when she had Danielle.)

Even more remarkable is the transformation that has taken place for Xjantè (formerly Anita) during these previous 12 years. Prior to this at age 23, she was divorced from a trying marriage, then married for only a year and then widowed, when a tractor flipped over - she had lost a small son to another tragic accident, was a 9-year 3-pack-a-day smoker, had been in and out of the hospital, and was the survivor of a merciless childhood and two decades of severe malnutrition - her teeth were dissolving, and she was down to 89 pounds and on crutches. I am now 15 years into these superfoods myself. Xjantè and I have 8 children living at home, one married on her own, and two who visit all summer, holidays, and every weekend. Five of our children are teenagers. All of our children have friends who are constantly visiting. We have our grandsons several hours nearly every day. Three of our middle kids took the same drivers ed class last summer, and another is taking it now. In such things there is opportunity for stress - or so we are told.

A while ago, I was scampering around on Mt. Rainier with all of the kids and noted far less effect from that altitude, than the same altitude 25 years earlier, and then again at 18 and 12 years earlier.

Here is what I believe. Here is what I know. We happen to be living on a planet at the front lines of a busy battle between love and fear. This battle is fought at all levels - not just with tanks in the sand - and not just with cheap handguns shooting innocent children in schools or the inner city.

Mostly it is fought in the six inches between one's left ear and one's right ear - the gate to your deeper soul. Fear tricks people (entire countries of people even) into believing things, saying things, and doing things, which make no sense at all from a paradigm of love and truth.

In the very first chapter of Genesis, in verses 26 & 27, God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness... So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

Consider for a moment the awesome potential this gives you.

As some of you know, this ancient documentary continues with the serpent becoming synonymous with deception and its fruits - including sickness and death. Knowing this, would you select the serpent as your symbol - your banner? The banner under which you select to experience your life and health? Not sure?! ?

Is that your final answer?

As the documentary continues, we learn that many individuals experimenting with freewill have made unfortunate contracts - illegitimate contracts. After a time, to prove the fruits of these fraudulent contracts, one came and cancelled them all. God living as man, vulnerable to the same deceptions, but making better choices - proving that any of us can cancel these illegitimate contracts of lack, fear, ignorance and decay - and make better choices - like the healthy example of real-time forgiveness.

A contract made under deception or coercion is not valid by law in any just court and most especially, it is not valid in the Court of Ultimate Jurisdiction.

No matter what one's spiritual faith, it can become a good platform from which to make better choices about how one thinks. But sometimes the very best choices will lead you to a new trailhead altogether.

We can all make better choices about what we say and how we say it. We can all employ more courage for one another, and endeavor to develop transparent honesty.

We can make better choices about what we put into our bodies. We can treat them like a dump or we can treat them like the temples they truly are.

We can make better choices about how we treat one another. And you and I can do it from this moment forward.

Most of all, we can take responsibility for our own condition and experience in life. Good, or not so good, once we take responsibility for our own experience We own it. We, with a capital "W", as in God and you in Divine Contract - a contract for life abundant (and for life eternal) with no brokers or corrupt contracts in between. A contract directly between you and God. A contract you can select now with or without a padded pew, church bells and stained glass windows. If you are reading this at a busy city bus bench, that will do just fine - but as every moment zips by, you will remake the choice for love or for fear. Only now, hopefully, you are more keenly aware of each opportunity.

You may develop your sense of awareness and consent through conscious exercise. Just as a body builder develops physical muscle, you can develop spiritual muscle.

Everything you are hangs upon the spiritual matrix you create for yourself. Hold bitterness toward another and it becomes a frame in which groups of cells may take mutant form. Yes, medical radiation may kill these cells just as it mutates a nearby colony of healthy ones. But isn't this merely death playing with its own and with your permission - double! - inside God's temple that is you?

Xjantè and I consciously selected a different kind of banner for Exsula's very start. If you read the first chapter of Genesis about the six days of creation, you will see our banner reflected there.
