Organic Iodine feeds your thyroid gland, which controls metabolism and promotes maturation of the nervous system.

Disinfect Your Blood:
Iodine is also the main natural disinfecting agent in our body. Every 15 minutes, all of your blood goes through that small organ – the thyroid gland.

Prevent Cardiovascular Disease:
Laminarin is a polysaccharide that is helpful in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It helps to balance coagulation of blood.

Detoxify From Heavy Metals:
Alginate is a natural absorbent of radioactive elements, heavy metals, and free radicals. It has the unique ability of binding heavy metals and radioactive elements to its own molecules. Because the Alginate cannot be broken down by bile or saliva and cannot be absorbed by the body, it is secreted from the body together with the heavy metals and radioactive substances.

Even a mild deficiency of magnesium can cause increased sensitivity to noise, irritability, mental depression, confusion, twitching, trembling, apprehension, and insomnia. Magnesium helps us deal with nervousness, anxiety and panic attacks by keeping adrenal stress hormones balanced and controlled.

Magnesium is considered the “anti-stress” mineral. It is a natural tranquilizer that functions to relax skeletal muscles as well as the smooth muscles of blood vessels and the gastrointestinal tract. Magnesium oil makes it easy to replenish this vital mineral in our bodies, balancing our appetites, supporting brain function, and improving the condition of our arteries.

The second edition of Transdermal Magnesium Therapy book by Mark Sircus is available in hardcover, paperback and in E-Book form.

Mark has been writing about magnesium oil since Dr. Norman Shealy had first written about the product introduced by Jim Carter as magic oil. Doctors and other healthcare professionals have been taking notice since the first edition of this book that made Mark Sircus known for his “Natural Allopathic Medicine” approach, which includes magnesium along with other minerals including sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and iodine.

Mark says about his own magnesium use: “My favorite way to use it is to have someone spray me with the oil until I am dripping wet and then give me a massage. I tell everyone that this is a treatment fitting for Cleopatra. I am lucky because I have someone on my staff give me the massage and it’s a good one because I am a good teacher of massage. I highly recommend this approach to patients with life-threatening diseases for a variety of reasons.”

Magnesium chloride needs to be always included in EVERYONE’S health protocol.

All the reasons for “always” are in the book, which reads a bit like a mystery novel as the story unfolds about this precious mineral. Mark writes about magnesium oil that comes from underground Europe from a 250-million-year-old underground sea as if it were the only possible source. This is a marketing play and a play on words: there are may natural sources of magnesium chloride around the planet from the Permian period, and all of them as pure as the Permian sea. After all, it was the same ocean, same water and mineral source.

Magnesium deficiency leads to physiological decline in cells, setting the stage for many illnesses including cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and neurological problems.

Magnesium is lacking in most processed foods today. Research into obesity reveals that when a dieter starves himself of calories, he starves his brain cells as well. New research finds that these hungry brain cells then release “feed me” signals, which drive hunger, slow down metabolism and ultimately cause reduced-calorie diets to fail. Obese people have a serious problem with magnesium deficiency and no matter how much they eat they can never get enough and this is especially bad for brain cells, which depend on magnesium for healthy neurological function.

Big issue in the current obesity epidemic are industrial-farm-produced white, nutritionally-deficient foods that obese people tend to eat. These foods are deficient in most nutrients, and especially magnesium!

Because magnesium is involved in so many processes in the body, once a deficiency develops, it can take on a life of its own. Metabolic functions decrease, causing further stress, reducing the body’s ability to absorb and retain magnesium. When stressful events trigger additional magnesium loss, sudden drops of serum magnesium can lead to cardiac arrest.

Zeolites are natural volcanic minerals with an unique, complex crystalline structure. In fact, because it is one of the few negatively charged minerals in nature, zeolites act as magnets drawing toxins to it, capturing them in its cage and removing them from the body.

Did You Know that taking a shower may be hazardous to your health?

Is it not ironic that keeping your body clean is exposing you to significant health risks?

You may be aware of the dangers of drinking unfiltered water, but did you consider showering in unfiltered water a health risk? According to the health science institute you absorb more chlorine in a ten minute shower than if you drank eight glasses of the same water. Your pores open up when you take a hot shower allowing the chlorine to pass thru your skin and absorb directly into your blood stream at a rate that is up to six to eight times higher than drinking.

Read more: How Skin Absorbs Water | eHow.com

The Sad Truth About Your Shower Water

Research presented at the American Chemical Society (back in) 1986 demonstrated that showering in tap water leads to greater exposure to toxic chemicals than drinking the water.

The risks of chlorine exposure are serious– including, but not limited to…

Irritation of the eyes, sinuses, throat, and skin

Aggravation of the lungs

Excessive free radical formation = accelerated aging

Hardened arteries

Difficulty metabolizing cholesterol

Higher vulnerability to genetic mutation

Development of cancer

In a recent article in The American Journal of Public Health, chlorine was linked to measurable increases in certain types of cancer. The article also reported that up to 2/3 of our harmful exposure to chlorine is through absorption by the skin during showering.

Even if you can’t detect the presence of chlorine in your water by its smell or taste, that doesn’t mean you’re safe from the consequence of exposure. Chlorine exposure can be especially harmful for individuals with sinus problems, allergies, skin rashes, emphysema and asthma.

Inhaling Chloroform?

The most current findings from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicate that virtually every home in America has a detectable level of chloroform gas in the air. Chloroform is a derivative of chlorine and formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. Chlorine and showering are its source. Anyone who showers regularly should be concerned about the dangers of chlorine exposure, but especially those who suffer from dry and irritated skin; damaged and brittle hair; flaky or itchy scalp; or redness and burning of the eyes.

Experts used to believe that ingestion was the primary method of chlorine intake, but new studies show that inhalation and skin exposure intake are even higher. One of the most prevalent forms of chlorine taken in through inhalation is chloroform. Remember, chloroform is a carcinogen, and it’s also linked to excessive free radical formation, cell mutation, and the oxidation of cholesterol.

Dr. Mercola said that “when we inhale chloroform, it goes directly into our bloodstreams without any kind of preliminary detoxification.” So unless you are regularly taking minute-long showers in cold water, “your body is like a sponge for these airborne toxins every second you spend in the shower.”

How to Protect Yourself from the Hazards of Chlorine

Obviously, avoiding showers altogether is not an option. There’s a far better (and simpler) solution — and that is … to get the chlorine out of your water. The best way to eliminate chlorine and its hazardous derivatives from your water supply is to install a shower filter.

The shower filter we recommend is effective and easy to use. It connects directly to the pipe (or the faucet for your bath), and removes not only chlorine but also other chemicals such as water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, iron, and other metals. KDF filters remove contaminants, and with the added Prills and Pearls also enhance the water’s pH balance, surface tension, ORP and water clusters.

If you are using municipal water to shower or bathe, you need to actively protect your body from the chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that you would be exposed to when not using a filter. As well as chlorine, we can also filter out chloramines – perhaps an even more insidious poison. You will need to check with your local water company to find out which one you have. If your water does not smell of chlorine, it may well be the less smelly, but more dangerous chloramine.

P.S.
An ordinary chlorine filter is fine, but one that is refillable and treats your water with Prills and Pearls to optimize the water structuring is even better. You can even use this filter to water your garden, your animals, fill your RV or treat the water in your hot tub or the swimming pool. Would it not be cool to be able to take a dip in water that is free of toxins? Twilight Water Converter is an investment that you and your family will truly appreciate.

IF (or is it already a WHEN) the nuclear reactors in Japan blow up, the melting cores will be releasing radioactive isotopes that dramatically affect all life on Earth. Even a small amount of the radioactive heavy metals will cause long term problems, both from the radiation, and from the toxicity perspectives.

We can learn from the Chernobyl accident in 1986. During the 1986 Chernobyl disaster radioactive isotopes equal to 30 – 40 times the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were released. Cesium (137Cs, 134Cs) and Strontium (90Sr, 89Sr) were the major isotopes released.

In response, about 500,000 tons of zeolite rock, mainly clinoptililolite (the same type of zeolite powder we make available for human consumption) was processed in the Ukraine, Georgia and Russia. The majority of the industrial grade clinoptilolite was used for construction of barriers, agricultural uses and soil decontamination. The Dnieper River was decontaminated by use of clinoptilolite filter layers.

Clinoptilolite was used to filter the water from the Chernobyl power plant and 137Cs was reduced by 95% and 90Sr by 50-60%. In Bulgaria, cows were fed 10% clinoptilolite-containing feed to decrease Cs in the milk. Children were given 2-30% by weight clinoptilolite cookies and biscuits to remove radioactive Cs.

Countries of Western Europe used clinoptilolite in animal feed and the soil to reduce radioactivity in plants, sheep, chickens and fruit juice.

Clinoptilolite’s effectiveness has been verified by years of research. It is safe (GRAS) and has the ability to bind and remove toxic heavy metals – and to protect you from the long term effects of radiation from Cesium and Strontium isotopes.

Zeolite does not remove radioactive Iodine (131I). For that you need to supplement with either seaweed, tincture, or KI to protect your thyroid gland. Iodine of course, does not protect your other organs from radiation or toxicity.

Zeolite works because of its ability to bind toxic heavy metals and to escort them safely through your urinary tract.

This has been one crazy day! We send out a newsletter about the possible use of iodine to prevent thyroid damage in case of a radioactive fallout. Before there even was a confirmation that this could be needed, our warehouse was cleared of all atomic iodine in just a few hours. I am guessing that people are getting increasingly jumpy. It appears pharmacies are sold out of Potassium Iodide, the favorite recommendation from the mainstream medicine to protect the thyroid. KI is great for that, but not the rest of the body.

Newscasters are spending a lot time talking about radioactive nuclear exposure—revisiting disasters at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. You may be surprised to learn that clinoptilolite zeolite was used at Three Mile Island to clean up radioactive wastes. More than 500,000 tons of zeolite were dumped from
helicopters in Chernobyl to absorb radioactive chemicals and other harmful toxins released during the explosion. Cattle in the downwind areas were fed zeolite to help keep radioactive ions out of milk, and zeolite was baked into biscuits fed to children. It was also encapsulated and offered to adults to help minimize their contamination.

Since the Chernobyl disaster, zeolite has been integrated into use at nuclear plants across the U.S. and Britain. It is also used at municipal water treatment facilities to reduce ammonium ion concentration.

An article published as “La Roca Magica: Uses of Natural Zeolites in Agriculture and Industry,” states that zeolite can be very useful to treat Nuclear Waste & Fallout. If confirms that clinoptilolite can neutralize both acidic and low basic water solutions through its alkalinity and ion-exchange reactions with Uranium within the solution. In plain speak, it will decontaminate you …

I would say that using zeolite is a good thing, especially if there is a reactor core blow-out up-wind.

Can you get enough minerals even if you eat a “healthy” diet? Follow along and see:

Breakfast
Bowl of oatmeal with blueberries, fat-free yogurt and a glass of fresh squeezed carrot & apple juice.

Lunch
Steamed rice with vegetables and a small salad

Dinner
Spelt pasta with canned tomato sauce and a salad

According to Food Nutrient Data taken from www.nutritiondata.com, you would be getting the following nutrients in our sample day:

Potassium

2500 mg

Sodium

1500 mg

Calcium

605 mg

Magnesium

272 mg

Manganese

4.7 mg

Iron

16 mg

Food grown in continually farmed mineral depleted soil would probably deliver even less.

According the National Academy Of Sciences, your body needs:

Potassium

4700 mg

Sodium

1500 mg

Calcium

1000 mg

Magnesium

420 mg

Manganese

2.3 mg

Iron

8 mg

These are the already well discredited USDA’s Recommended Daily Allowances. We probably need six times more magnesium, as evidenced by much better health in people ingesting more magnesium than calcium.

So, even by government standards, you’d be deficient:

Potassium

2200 mg

Sodium

0 mg

Calcium

395 mg

Magnesium

148 mg

If you ate the Standard American Diet, these mineral deficiencies would be much greater!

Importantly, your diet should contain at least 3 times as much potassium as sodium. If it does not, then the balance between the water inside your cells and the water outside your cells causes cellular dehydration. It is easy to exceed 2000 mg of sodium in a day – so the amount of potassium required to maintain proper cellular ion balance goes above 6000 mg!

It is really easy to loose mineral and pH balance. When this happens, your body starts tilting toward acid pH which stops your cells from functioning properly by lowering oxygen carrying capacity in your fluids.

You have to supplement with alkalizing minerals. If you don’t, you are asking for trouble. Can you guess which illness is caused by oxygen deprivation?

Four Minerals that Control Your Autonomic Nervous System

Calcium and Magnesium regulate the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) which controls our “fight or flight” reaction. SNS is stimulated by calcium, and inhibited by magnesium. Imbalance causes SNS dominance, an uptight nervous, jittery person. Magnesium will calm you down and bring back your sunny personality.

Potassium and Sodium regulate the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS), which controls our ”rest & digest” reaction. PSNS is stimulated by potassium, and inhibited by sodium. Imbalance causes PSNS dominance (quite rare) a lethargic, tired, slow moving person. Supplementing potassium will revive you out of the evening fatigue.

The Result of Mineral Imbalance on Your Autonomic Nervous System

Free excess calcium will over-stimulate your SNS when there’s insufficient magnesium to balance it out. Potassium is depleted, so the PSNS cannot be properly stimulated to offset the SNS. If you have an acidic cellular environment and free excess calcium, you’ll have an imbalance between the SNS and the PSNS of your autonomic nervous system. This can cause you to be hyperactive, quick to anger, nervous & jittery, and burnt out (like many people in our fast paced society).

Magnesium to Calcium Ratio

This ratio between calcium and magnesium is very important in dealing with the cause and prevention of a number of disorders, including cardiovascular, heart and blood pressure illnesses. The absorption and metabolism of magnesium depends upon calcium intake, and vice versa. The balance between these two minerals is extremely important. In view of the overwhelming benefits of magnesium, the traditional ratio of approximately 2 parts calcium to 1 part magnesium needs to be revised. The ideal ratio for most people’s needs is equal amounts of calcium and magnesium. If calcium consumption is high, then magnesium intake also needs to be high.

Note: The trace mineral boron plays a part in preventing the urinary loss of magnesium and calcium. You will find it in a meaningful amount in our Twilight America Magic Oil.

Take a serious look at these products. They are unlike anything else on the market. They deliver magnesium through your skin, transdermally, thanks to the charge they received in the Star Chamber Factory.

High calcium levels linked to fatal prostate cancer

This article was originally posted in Cancer on September 05, 2008.

Men with high blood levels of calcium have a significantly increased risk of developing fatal prostate cancer, new research suggests.

The study of nearly three thousand men revealed that those with the highest levels of calcium in their blood were 2.68 times more likely to develop fatal prostate cancer than men with the lowest levels of calcium. The association remained even after the researchers took into consideration major risk factors for prostate cancer – age, weight, race, and family history. Blood calcium levels did not have a predictive effect upon non-fatal prostate cancers.

The data on blood calcium levels was determined an average of 9.9 years before the diagnosis of prostate cancer was made, thus suggesting that a simple blood test may identify men that are at high risk of developing the disease.

At present it is unclear whether it is calcium itself or parathyroid hormone, which regulates blood calcium levels, that plays a role in the pathology of the disease.

Skinner HG, Schwartz GG. Serum Calcium and Incident and Fatal Prostate Cancer in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. /Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev/. 2008;17:2302-2305.

Here is my comment:

Isn’t it interesting that after a multi-year mineral imbalance we end up in the cancer ward? To balance calcium we need to supplement with transdermal magnesium. To balance thyroid and parathyroid we need to supplement with iodine, which is found in kelp and other sea weed. Our Twilight Topically Everything contains magnesium and trace minerals from alfalfa and kelp. Transderma Magnesium Gel also contains magnesium and is thickened with sea weed.

Life Enthusiast offers many alternative health solutions to a vast range of health concerns.
