Strata Flora (Pt. 1)

Our intestines contain large amounts of bacteria. These bacteria are designed to be present in certain ratios. Certain “bad” bacteria are balanced out by “good” bacteria to form a delicate equilibrium.

The flora in our intestines is designed to handle all the extraction of nutrients from the food coming through our intestines. This flora is extremely beneficial, but it can be damaged.

This happens when other “bad” bacteria are present in excess. These bacteria can do serious damage to our flora, much in the same way lack of rain can damage a lawn. When it is all dried up, the ground starts showing through. When you wear down your villi, they will start passing through underdigested bits of food that will challenge your immune system.
