Exercise and Meditation (Pt. 2)

I wrote about the importance of exercise in a healthy lifestyle. I also mentioned meditation and how it is important. I also feel that the two are connected in an important way.

Meditation at its basic application is the act of clearing one’s mind. Meditation doesn’t have to involve any specific spiritual content but for most people it has that connotation which I feel is very important. More important, though, is the act of clearing the mind of all thoughts and becoming centered in your body and mind.

If you think of the mind as a garden, and if you’ve ever weeded your garden to grow fresh vegetables, you should already know why meditation is so important. It allows you to remove all unwanted thoughts and make room for the desirable seeds to manifest into what you attract into your life. Taking the weeds out allows the desired seeds to grow.  Replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. Weed out the darkness from your life.
