Exercise and Meditation (Pt. 1)

I personally feel that exercise and meditation are two of the most important things you can do to keep both your body and mind working at their highest level. The reason I am talking about these two things together is because I feel they are connected and can even be viewed as aspects of the same issue – self awareness.

Regular exercise is an essential part of being healthy. Our bodies were made to take a load and work against gravity. Carrying things, climbing hills and running are all good ways to work against gravity. We should not over-strain, but 30 minutes of physical exercise a day is essential.

We need to sweat, I have mentioned this earlier. Sweating is essential to detoxifying the body, allowing toxins to exit through the skin. It helps with balancing the acid/alkaline balance. If you cannot exercise, perhaps you need to consider a sauna.

In my next post I will talk about meditation and how that ties into these concepts.
