Detoxification
Today I write about detoxification or the lack of understanding of detoxification in the general public. Essentially, in your body, there is a constant struggle between how fast toxins are coming in and how fast your body is able to get rid of them.
There are two ways that toxins come into our body. One is because we live in an environment that has a lot more pollution in it than it did 500 years ago (thanks to the industrial pollution) and the other because of the things that we eat – grown by industrial agriculture and processed by modern food preservation methods.
We have more chemicals in our food than ever before. This stuff didn’t exist when we evolved as a species. Artificial coloring, flavoring and preservatives are the wonderful, fantastic inventions of the chemical and petroleum and pharmaceutical industries. You can only get rid of toxins by washing them out of your body. You need lots of clean well structured water to rinse them out of your body. And if they are fat soluble, you need to have lecithin to emulsify them. If they are water soluble, you just need good structured water to dissolve them and wash them out of the body. You drink a cup of coffee; you need to drink about two quarts of water to wash out the toxicity that that created.
That’s quite a bit of water to undo the damage of just one cup of coffee, isn’t it?
