Toxins and Your Skin
One of the things we pride ourselves on here at the Life Enthusiast Co-Op is spreading awareness about health and wellness and how you can get the most out of your body and keep it running smoothly.
One topic that will inevitably come up in any serious discussion about our health is the possible threat of excessive toxins in the body. This conversation is usually related to what we eat and drink. Most people know that if you eat a lot of fatty or “snacky” foods, you are invited toxins into your body which your may not be able to deal with properly. What often happens is these toxins get stored in fat cells around your waist.
What often doesn’t get discussed, though, is the possibility that toxins can (and do) enter our bodies through our skin. Our skin is basically a big membrane which can allow things to enter and leave depending on the acidity of our fluids. The good news is the skin can also be a great way to remove and expel toxins from the body. The simplest to do this is by sweating through exercise and through detoxifying baths. The best bubble bath you can get is with Miracle II Soap and Neutralizer.
