Inflammation Questions
As a health coach, one of the common questions I get asked about inflammation comes from people wondering whether inflammation is a good thing. They usually mean in the context of a cold or something like this.
And it’s true that inflammation can be positive if you have a viral or bacterial infection. Your body will naturally increase its temperature because that’s what it knows to do. It will kill-off the invaders using excess heat.
When you are suffering from chronic inflammation as a result of stress, not eating well or toxicity, that is a whole difference situation. Recovery helps to relieve the pain of chronic inflammation.
Some people are to “get used to it” by uninformed medical practitioners. You do not need to spend the rest of your life on pain killers. This can be reversed … In chronic conditions we usually see cells become resistant to insulin, which leads to weight gain, high blood pressure, and greater chance of heart failure. And of course, the ongoing, chronic pain.
Recovery helps your cells relax so they can become more receptive to insulin, allowing you to “recover”.
