Poisons in our bodies
All the buzz around the environmental movement in the past ten years is not just hot air. It should be showing us that we can not continue to pollute our environment to the extent that we are. I always think of an aquarium, a good example of a closed system. You would never see this in nature. Fish dependent on us providing food, and making sure the water is cleaned, and air is pumped in. There are more fish in the tank than what would naturally survive.
Animals in nature do not overuse the resources they need to survive. If there is an over-population of a certain species, its natural predators move in and take care of the imbalance. Or the population collapses because of hunger. Since the industrial and agricultural revolutions, we are able to grow more and more food. But the food is not as healthy as it should be. We are ingesting more toxins than our bodies can eliminate and less nutrients than what we need. It is clear to me and many other professionals that we have begun to pay the price. If the trend continues, it is entirely possible that we will reach the point where we are too poisoned for the body to carry on at all. By the thousands and millions.
The first step towards reversing this terrible cycle is to stop polluting. There are poisons we inflict upon ourselves on a day-to-day basis. The most common are cigarettes, alcohol, drugs be they prescription or over the counter, or recreational. These poisons are detrimental to your well-being. The food industry adds MSG, aspartame, artificial coloring flavors and texture enhancers that contribute heavily to the dangers we ingest every day. We can make a huge difference in our lives by cutting out these poisons as much as possible.
MSG (mono sodium glutamate) is particularly harmful as it is found in so many different foods. It is used as a “food taste enhancer”. Chinese restaurants are known to use it a lot although lately some are advertising that there is no MSG in their food. Many famous brand-name foods use MSG because it helps “enhance” food flavors. It is a hideous practice. Companies are starting to not list it as an ingredient altogether, it can be hidden under “spices” or “hydrolyzed vegetable protein” instead of being listed as MSG itself.
Beware.
